We begin our afternoon sightseeing at the Egyptian Museum with its world-famous displays of artifacts including Tutankhamen’s treasures. |

| Today we visit the historic Petra-an ancient city carved into the sides of a deep gorge; the only entrance is through a narrow slit in the gorge called the Siq. This is also the setting for the movie “Indiana Jones”. We will explore this mystic city by walking between 100-foot cliffs of the Siq into Petra. The sight is remarkable: the temple, tombs, and dwelling chiseled out of deep hued rose, purple, and crimson limestone. |

| this morning, we will reverse the journey to visit Wadi Rum, where much of David Lean’s ”Lawrence of Arabia” was filmed. Wadi Rum is like a moon landscape of ancient valleys and towering weathered sandstone .Mountains rising out of the white and pink colored sands. It was also the location where T.E. Lawrence himself was based during the Arab Revolt. Depart from Wadi Rum, travel along the old “kings road”, as the caravans used to, toward Dead Sea Overnight. |
