| Morning visit the modern capital city of Jordan. You will visit the ancient Citadel. Drive South to Mt. Nebo. Overlooking the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, to see the memorial of Moses, the presumed site of his death and burial place. To Madaba, home of the finest Byzantine mosaics. View the 6th Century mosaics map of Jerusalem. Travel toward Petra. Overnight at Petra. |

| Visit the historic Petra-an ancient city carved into the sides of a deep gorge; the only entrance is through a narrow slit in the gorge called the Siq. This is also the setting for the movie “Indiana Jones”. We will explore this mystic city by walking between 100-foot cliffs of the Siq into Petra. The sight is remarkable: the temple, tombs, and dwelling chiseled out of deep hued rose, purple, and crimson limestone. |

| The Dead Sea (420 meters below sea level) within just half an hour’s drive. We will visit Qumran, the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Then we will ascend by cable car to the top of the Masada Fortress – Zealots made their last resistance place against the Romans and learn its heroic story. |
