Visit the Cathedral with Columbus’ tomb, City Hall, admire the pools and fountains of Maria Luisa Park. Drive to the Plaza de Espana, the Gold Tower in the Guadalquivir River, and the fine Baroque building which is now the university but used to be the tobacco factory of Carmen fame. Seville Cathedral (rank 4th in the world) with the world’s largest Gothic edifice. Finally stroll through the narrow lanes of the charming Santa Cruz quarter. Enjoy Flamingo Dance show tonight, a local tradition. |

| Once called the Athens of the West, this white-walled Andalusian city was a great center of learning under the Moors, who left the city (pop. 308,000) with a rich heritage. The 8th-century Mezquita, once Islam’s grandest mosque, is one of the great sights of Spain, despite a baroque cathedral having been inserted into the middle of it in 1523. The sublimeness of a forest of columns and red-and-white-striped Moorish arches and the florid Catholic grandeur in the interior are enough to make you giddy. In the afternoon, a scenic drive down by the Costa del Sol we arrive in the vibrant, and festive Torremolinos. A famous Spanish coastal resort off the Mediterranean Sea. Here one can enjoy the delightful sun-shine and the sandy beaches were the word “relax” is the number one priority. |

A fantasy of “lace in stone” surrounded by arabesque gardens and fountains, it affords superb views of the Old Quarter and Sacromonte, a mountain occupied by gypsy cave dwellers. |
